Kula Sports Performance has formed a partnership with the Resilience Code to provide a World-class training facility for all athletes working in the KSP system.  The facility features recovery modalities, IV center, infrared sauna, physical therapy, cryotherapy, massage and stretch therapy as well as access to biological testing services to optimize training and nutrition services.  This partnership brings the best of training, body care and science together for the ultimate athlete expereince!

owner & director | Coach Brian Kula

Coach Kula has worked with thousands of athletes in his career as a track & field, sport performance and football coach.  He has coached multiple National Champions, All-Americans, Gatorade Players of the Year and State Champions in a variety of sports.  Kula has 24 years experience in the athletic development of athletes at all levels from youth to professional.  He has been certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UNC in 1996 and began his professional career in the same year.  In addition to many years as a head track coach and architect of numerous championships and records, Kula also coached football and operated strength and conditioning programs.  He directed all facets of strength, speed, agility, conditioning, testing, recovery and nutrition.  Kula has been a presenter at coaching clinics for speed development and training programs in a number of states and consulted for various programs around Colorado.    

Developing athletes in various sports at multiple levels, Kula has worked with professional and Division 1 athletes from over 30 universities across the country including notable local athletes Christian McCaffrey - #8 Overall NFL Draft Pick ’17 (Carolina Panthers), Janine Beckie - #8 Overall NWSL Draft Pick '16 (Manchester City/Team Canada), Anna Hall - US Record Heptathlon/Pentathlon ‘19 (Georgia) , MaryBeth Sant – US #1 100m ‘13 (Oregon/CSU), Evan Baylis - TE (Green Bay Packers), JT Scheuerman - US #2 400m ‘06 (Baylor) and many other elite athletes.  Most recently while at Valor Christian high school, Kula served as an athletic director, track and football coach.  His passion and success for the development of athletes to maximize their potential has been recognized at the state, regional and national level.  As an athlete, Kula was an accomplished Decathlete at the University of Northern Colorado earning All-American honors and played wide receiver for the football team.  He was inducted into the UNC Hall of Fame, class of 2014.

JIMMY PRITCHARD

Jimmy Pritchard has worked with athletes from the Olympics, NHL, NFL and Division I collegiate level across multiple sports.  He served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Ski and Snowboard Club in Vail, Colorado.  While there, he trained a long list of US Ski Team athletes, most notably Alice McKennis and Mikaela Shiffrin.  He holds a MSc degree in Exercise Science (Strength and Conditioning) from Edith Cowan University and is certified through the NSCA with both his CSCS and RSCC certifications. 

Athletically, Jimmy played high school basketball and golf for Eagle Valley High School all 4 years.  While there, he qualified for the state golf tournament his senior year and led his basketball team to their first 4A Western Slope Championship in over 10 years.  After a short stint playing golf for Colorado Mesa University Jimmy began training and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, now ranking as a purple belt, he has competed in over 20 tournaments with several first-place finishes.  Jimmy’s greatest passion in life is elevating human performance and athletic potential through high level coaching. 

ALEX GILDON

Alex brings many years of experience in athletics as an athlete, coach and trainer. A graduate of Valor Christian High School, Alex played football, basketball and ran track where he excelled as an All-State athlete.  He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree while on a full football scholarship at Hastings College. Alex was a four-year starter in college where he earned three first team All-Conference awards, and was a first team All-American. Alex has a vast variety of experience in different variety of fitness and training with experience ranging from coaching to personal training while working for various camps during his off-season from college and following graduation.

Alex is also a full time Senior Account Executive for Automated Business Products.  He is excited to be a part of Kula Sports Performance and help others excel in their craft.  Coach Kula has not only been a coach to Alex since 2010, but a mentor.  Alex believes in working with the athlete in a holistic approach focused on specific individual goals. His passion speaks for itself when training with him, and his desire for excellence. Alex joins the team excited to develop athletes to their full potential.

JULEE HALEY

Julee Haley has been coaching and training athletes from professional to youth for the last 17 years.  Julee has unique skills in movement development and has worked with many different sports and various athlete needs.  She worked for Movement Training Systems for 10 years where she was involved in training athletes from the high school, college and professional sectors including various sports at Columbia University in NYC.  She has been a head track and cross country coach and currently serves as an assistant at Valor Christian High School in the track and field program and helped lead them to back to back state championships and a men's and women's double championship in 2019.  She is a certified coach with the Colorado State Association of Athletics and a member coach with USA Track & Field.     

Julee was a pole vaulter at the University of Northern Colorado.  She was among some of the first female athletes to compete in the event as it was just added by the national federation in 1996.  She is a Colorado native and earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Northern Colorado.  Julee also operates her own personal fitness business.          

KELCEY FINN

A recent graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kelcey joins the Kula Sports Performance family with three years of experience working in collegiate strength and conditioning and sports performance.

While completing the Master’s program, Kelcey worked as the part-time assistant strength and conditioning coach for Razorback Track and Field and Cross country and served as the strength and conditioning coach for Dive for the 2019-2020 season.  In addition to working with Track and Field and Cross Country, Kelcey also interned with Olympic Sports including softball, volleyball, and gymnastics.  Kelcey also led the John Brown University women's soccer program prior to the 2018 season as the squad's strength and conditioning coach. Finn's primary passion and responsibility with the women's soccer team was to build resilient and durable athletes while maximizing performance using strength and conditioning strategies. 

Finn holds the NSCA’s Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification, as well as other certifications including the NSPA's Certified Speed and Agility Coach, the USAW's Level 1, BioForce Conditioning Specialist certification and the NASM's Corrective Exercise Specialist certification.

CJ CROW

Crow is the director of the northern Colorado division for Kula Sports Performance.  He has been with Coach Kula since 1998 as an athlete, coach and business partner.  He brings knowledge, experience and passion to the team.  Crow was instrumental in the development of Coach Kula's first sports performance venture from 2004-2009 with Advanced Training System as a lead trainer.  He was the sprint coach at Arapahoe high school in 2008 and lead the team to the men's first state championship.  

As an athlete, CJ was a standout, All-State athlete where he set multiple school records in high school.  He went on to compete at the University of Northern Colorado.  In high school he was one of the best long jumpers in the nation and won the prestigious Simplot Games in 2000 in dramatic fashion on his final jump.  Crow had a brief professional career before retiring from track & field.  Crow earned a baechlors degree from UNC and he is a member coach with USA Track & Field.  CJ is also the owner of Black Feather Realty and holds his real estate license.    

KYLE PISCHKE

Coach Pischke comes to us with over 20 years of experience as both an athlete and coach. As an athlete Kyle competed in many different sports, but found his niche in football and track. He earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania at Mansfield. During his time at Mansfield, Kyle was named the Mountaineers’ Pound for Pound Athlete of the Year. Later, Kyle found his calling to join our nation's elite and serve in the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the Corps, he then returned to school earning a scholarship in track and field at the University of Northern Colorado. While at UNC, Kyle made the Div I All Independent team.

Kyle is a Colorado native and earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He has been in the education field for the past 13 years as a teacher. He is a certified coach with the Colorado State Association of Athletics. He has a passion for training and inspiring athletes to reach their full potential. He is currently the head sprint coach at Monarch High School.
